Our Story (short version) - Maggie and I met while I was here working in March of 2007. After spending lots of time together as Maggie showed me around Chongqing we began to spend all of our free time together. Unfortunately I had to go home to Michigan after 3 months and Maggie seen me off at the airport. I wasn't sure if I'd be back.
We still kept in touch and talked on the phone very often as I wanted to come back to Chongqing very much. Luckily after 6 months I had another opportunity to return to Chongqing for another 3 months of work. This was a great thing for us and we were so happy to be together again. During the 3 months Maggie and I spent all of our free time together and grew very close so I began searching opportunities to stay in China. Another strike of luck for me and the customer I was working for offered me a full time position here. So I accepted and after my 3 months were finished, Maggie seen me off again and would be waiting patiently for me to get all of my things in order back in Michigan and get back to Chongqing.
During my preparation from Apr-Jun we had to go back to talking on the phone everyday. Which of course is great but at the same time just wants to make you go faster. That said I packed my bags and moved back here in June 08. Maggie and I rented an apartment and have been living there together since. We have done many things together here in Chongqing and they have all been great. I even got appendicitis Christmas Eve but it wasn't a problem with such great people around me. Maggie of course took care of me everyday at the hospital. Also her wonderful mother brought me home made soup and anything else I could possibly need. Plus all of her other family and friends stopped by to make sure I was ok during my 5 scary days in a Chinese hospital. So with such a wonderful girl, wonderful family, wonderful love, what do you do? (click to find out!)
